7.30pm, June 21st and AMAC find themselves traveling down the M20 to Maidstone to attend the new album launch of Fate The Juggler at The Pizza Express.
Well, when we first entered the venue I have to admit I did feel a little under dressed. The room, with a small stage at one end, was full of tables with eager spectators all tucking into some excellent looking pizzas and supping large glasses of wine. This was not what I had expected. Turns out I’d read the memo wrong and we weren’t here to watch a plate juggler.
The master of ceremonies took to the stage, welcomed us all warmly and introduce the support act for the evening, The David James Rumsey Band. I was so taken with this performance that I have been pestering Adam constantly to get this band to perform at an AMAC Originals night. Fingers crossed for that.
Then came the main event and not one flying plate to be seen. Fate the Juggler were slick, friendly and totally professional. I can only review them as me and as you are not me this will have no relevance to you, but what I will say is that you would be missing out if you don’t check out their latest offering “The Story So Far….. Part 1”. Strong melodies and a purposeful grove(think Doobie Brothers or The Steve Miller Band) that will keep your foot tapping until the break of dawn.
We are delighted to have Fate The Juggler headlining AMAC Originals Take 3 on Friday 15th November at The Glass House in Ashford. Join us and the other great bands we have for you that night. You can also pick up a copy of “The Story So Far….. Part 1” to ensure that it will be a night that you will never forget.
