Saturday 15th June saw the annual Lofty Fest at the Albion in Willesborough. This local family friendly festival is fast becoming a staple to the Ashford festival calendar and this year was definitely the best attended so far.
The festival is run by Stella and Jim Loftus, raising money for local charities and keeping the local community spirit alive.
The event is held outside in The Albion Pub Garden, with a barbeque, bouncy castle and specialty Ales on offer. So even if the music is secondary for you, there is something to keep you entertained.
The days events were nicely caped off with indoor electric performances ,headlined by Stella n’ the Loft and Acoustic Edge. The outside part of the day kicked of at 12pm, with the much talked about performance from new comers, The Rec.
Followed by one of Ashford’s finest Iona and Ben.
Corky’s Cats brought the sun.
Harmonious bliss from the Wayward Harmonies.
Fun with Lofty and Jimmy.
No fuss or bother from Clumsy Colin, just awesome tunes.
Heart felt and passionately performed songs were gifted to us from LiVES.
And Parachuting Monkeys brought the rain, but this was not enough to dampen the spirits of a most appreciative crowd.
Lofty Fest will be back next year at The Albion on Saturday 20th June. DO NOT MISS IT.
If this years festival is anything to go by you will not be disappointed.
Well done Stella and Jim and to everyone else involved. A truly delightful day.
